Post surgery decisions to make?

I had an injury on the ball of my foot recently and the orthopedic surgeon cut part of a bone because it was growing from being on top of another one. it originally was a broken piece of bone from my medial sesmoid that started to become connected to it again but it started to grow on top instead of growing back together with the bone. Do you think I will be able to dance in 6 weeks? Is it bad to start dancing again if it is a surgery this intense after 6 weeks? Can it hurt really bad still after the surgery while dancing and letting it heal for 6 weeks. I am an irish dancer by the way.
