Chickens?????????????

I have many chickens and just got 3 chicks a few weeks ago. We actually got a lot more but they kept dieing. Are Straight Run chickens with the poofs on their heads harder to raise than others because I have a different type of chicken well 9 chickens and they didn't die off like this. I don't understand!
